剧情介绍
葉孝勤、葉孝禮兩兄弟自大陸偷渡來港，決心在地產建築業發展。二人勤奮好學，從低做起，適逢一宗爛尾工程，自組小型建築公司接手，工程完成，為兩兄弟帶來希望。而勤妻亦在此時誕下第一個兒子－葉榮添。
二人生意越做越順，可是當有利益關係時，衝突便隨之而來。禮不甘心只當小承建商，狠下決心，設計將勤逐出股權，自己則繼續壯大，終成為一代地產界鉅子。
勤被親弟出賣，受到嚴重打擊，無心再戀戰，令家道中落。
歷史是循環不息的演進，葉孝勤、葉孝禮兄弟的故事，直接影響了下一代，特別是勤在順景時誕下的葉榮添…
一九八九，葉榮添二十七歲，已經歷人生第十七次創業與失敗。他與友人合組貿易公司，卻負債纍纍，推出「電子寵物」，又全面失敗，碰上大地產商葉孝禮收樓，令添變得一無所有。
惟添沒有放棄，他在地盤由低學起，以極短時間瞭解整個建築運作。終於，任職銀行的強得來一次接手爛尾村屋的機會，添毅然放棄地盤一職，拉攏彪及強自組公司，工程順利完成，三人終於賺到第一桶金，昂然闖入地產界，挑戰大仇人葉孝禮。添為了抗衡葉孝禮，不惜以偏鋒手段行事，與正派的彪頻起衝突，後來彪決定退出，避免影響友情。
添得到財力支持後，更如虎添翼，勝利沖昏頭腦，導致仇家報復，連累親弟被打斷雙腳，令添當頭棒喝。
而彪離開後，加入了政府城市規劃部門，卻發現師父貪污，彪頓感天下烏鴉一樣黑，在金錢需索和價值觀崩潰雙重打擊下，終於瓦解。添之醒覺與彪之沉淪，造成兩位性格截然的好友來一次性格大逆轉。
